Munich Airport NJ LLC (MANJ) is an US-based subsidiary of the renowned German Airport Operator Munich Airport. On behalf of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), Munich Airport NJ LLC is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and concession management of the recently opened Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). We are looking for a; 

Terminal Duty Manager

to join our team as soon as possible. You will be part of a quickly growing team, helping not only to create an attractive passenger terminal, but also to develop the Terminal Operator company with your expertise and personality.

 Your Future Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Terminal A
  • Ensure supervision, hands-on solutions and immediate reaction to a changing operational environment 
  • Lead Terminal Agents, Passenger Support Agents and Airside Supervisors during their shift 
  • Liaise with airport operations, as well as terminal stakeholders to ensure that any issues that may impact the daily operation may be resolved in a professional and timely manner 
  • Liaise and coordinate with PANYNJ and government agencies on operational requirements and priorities 
  • Provide shift briefing to Terminal Agents, Passenger Support Agents and Airside Supervisors
  • Monitor and regulate adequacy of staffing levels 
  • Advise of and plan for special situations and irregular operations 
  • Manage and report any incidents or accidents 
  • Coordination with airlines and ground handling service providers on operational requirements and priorities 
  • Any other duties as required for operational reasons 
Your Education & Training
  • Degree in an aviation, transportation, or logistics related field, or 7+ years in equivalent work experience
Your Skills & Experience
  • Willingness and ability to take ownership of operations and processes 
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity even in situations of high pressure 
  • Extensive experience with airport operations with special emphasis on passenger processing and service delivery  
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office) 
  • Overall knowledge of the rules and regulations of airport and airline travel according to IATA regulations and recommended practices 
  • Understanding of airline passenger handling and ramp operations
